As a challenge from the Duhok city governor, an outstanding pruning activity has been carried out by the students of the Forestry department in the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences (CAES) for Eucalyptus trees. The event has been supported by the CAES deanery and the presidency of the Department of Forestry through their on-site participation in this event. The event was accomplished on 30.10.2024, and led by the head of the Department of Forestry Assist. Prof. Dr. Hishyar Hazim Sulaiman. He clarified the importance of implementing this activity for general agricultural landscapes and Trees. Dr. Hassan Najman Muhamed also endorsed the activity with his expertise in Silviculture. During the event, the benefits of Trees and Shrubs pruning are discussed for enhancing their aesthetic and vigor, encouraging their growth patterns, decreasing their potential for diseases and pest infections, and remediating air circulation in forests for society.
