Following the UoD's strategic plan to increase the green area coverage on its campus, a group of lecturers and students of the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences (CAES), Department of Forestry, participated in planting three thousand Olive trees. The group was led by the dean of CAES Dr. Shukri Haji Salih and the Head of the Department of Forestry Dr. Hishyar Hazim Sulaiman. The activity was held on 5 Dec 2024 as part of a bigger plantation campaign with the presence of the President of UoD Dr. Dawood Atrushi and his assistants Dr. Dilshad A. Haleem and Dr. Nabaz Ibrahim. Shinal company received thanks from the presidency for providing the seedlings of the tree and their contribution to this event.
