Agriculture Consultants Bureau

It is a unique bureau in Duhok Governorate that acts as a conduit between the college and local society by:

1. Consulting various agricultural instructions to different local projects.
2. Applying scientific research on real problems facing the local agricultural industries.
3. Contracting with non-university parties for commercial agricultural projects production.
4. Analysing and testing different agricultural products for human and animal consumption.
5. Applying agro-economic studies to the initiated projects in the animal and plant production sectors.
6. Giving instructions for animal breeders in animal breeding, nutrition, and artificial insemination.
7. Planning and supervising parks and gardens established by the local government in the city of Duhok.
8. Extracting medicinal and aromatic oils from natural local plants.
9. Propagating different plants for nursery industries and saving endangered plants by tissue culture techniques.
10. Analysing and testing the natural plants to identify poisonous materials.
11. Identifying various plant diseases on commercial crops and orchards and giving disease protection and control.
12. Supervising the local honey bee farms (apiaries) to enhance honey production industries.
13. Testing and certifying seed.
14. Soil and water sample analysis.
15. Studying the influence of petrol wells, factories, and habitual projects on the environment.
16. Studying and participating in the environmental ecotourism industry.
17. Instructing forest protection from cutting and fires.
18. Visiting the farmers at their locations for support and coworking.
